Anti-Trump ESPNer gets brutal news learns what sports fans truly think of her

ESPN’s Jemele Hill has earned a lot of notoriety over the past year with her vitriolic attacks on President Donald Trump.

Most notably, Hill called Trump a “white supremacist,” and she derided his supporters as having “privilege.”

Her harsh attacks have turned off a lot of sports fans, and they just got an opportunity to fire back.

In voting on The Spun to choose “The Most Annoying Person in Sports Media,” Hill came out on top.

The sports blog set up an NCAA-style bracket of 64 sports personalities, with Hill as one of the No. 1 seeds, along with eminent loudmouths Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith and ESPN-reporter-turned-conservative-commentator Britt McHenry.

Hill rolled through her competition, crushing Jim Nantz (she took 87 percent of the vote), Mel Kiper Jr. (74 percent), Deadspin (79 percent) and Colin Cowherd (63 percent) to reach the Final Four.

In the semifinal, she destroyed Bill Walton (74 percent) to set up a finale with Smith, host of ESPN’s “First Take.”

While Smith is a champ when it comes to irritating viewers, he was no match for Hill, who defeated him 60-40 to win the annoying crown.

The Spun called Hill’s victory an “upset,” but it probably wasn’t a big surprise to the millions of Trump supporters she has insulted. The site said the bracket had more than 500,000 votes.

Hill responded to news of her win Monday on Twitter with sarcastic gratitude.

ESPN took no action in response to her “white supremacist” comments about Trump, which she stands by.

Hill left her job as co-host of the 6 p.m. “SportsCenter” — dubbed “SC6” — to work on ESPN’s black culture site, The Undefeated.
