10-year-old Florida girl punished by stepfather who holds her hand on electric burner until skin falls off

BISCAYNE GARDENS, FL – A Florida man is facing serious charges after allegedly inflicting severe harm on his 10-year-old stepdaughter by pressing her hand onto a hot stove, leaving a burn imprint on her skin.

Forty-two-year-old Georgy Almony was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse resulting in great bodily harm.

The child’s mother, 36-year-old Milliene Adeclat, was also arrested for allegedly failing to report the abuse once she learned of it. She faces charges of child neglect causing great bodily harm and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, the latter after reportedly assaulting police during her arrest.

The incident unfolded on April 12 in Biscayne Gardens while the mother was at work, according to local authorities. Almony allegedly became enraged when the girl pushed her brother, leading him to drag her into the kitchen and force her hand onto the lit stove.

After the abusive encounter, the child ran to her room with Almony’s cellphone and called her mother, recounting what had transpired. Despite her daughter’s cries for help, Adeclat reportedly did not alert authorities.

The situation came to light when the injured child’s teacher noticed her severely burned hand at school the following Monday, prompting law enforcement intervention. Both Almony and Adeclat were subsequently taken to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Intracoastal Station for questioning but provided little useful information.

Following questioning, the couple was processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Adeclat secured her release on a $1,500 bond, while Almony was released on a $7,500 bond. Both are expected to appear in court on May 14 for further proceedings.

This instance of alleged child abuse has raised significant concerns and spurred a broader discussion on child safety and the responsibility of caregivers to protect vulnerable family members from harm.
