15-year-old Florida girl catches older sister going through her phone then the older sister stabs her repeatedly

CUTLER BAY, FL – A Miami-Dade woman is being held in jail without bond after authorities say she stabbed her 15-year-old sister multiple times during a violent confrontation over a cell phone.

Lynn My Le, 26, made her first court appearance Monday following her arrest a day earlier at her family’s home in the Cutler Bay community. Le faces an attempted murder charge stemming from the alleged attack, which left her younger sibling in critical condition at a local hospital.

According to police, the incident unfolded early Sunday morning when the teenager awoke to find her older sister looking through her cell phone. The confrontation escalated quickly after the younger sibling retrieved her phone and questioned her sister’s actions.

Investigators said that, instead of responding, Le grabbed a black knife and chased after the teenager as she attempted to escape through the front door. Police allege Le stabbed her sister in the back four times before the girl collapsed to the floor.

The attack did not end there, according to authorities. After her sister fell, Le allegedly continued stabbing the teenager, striking her at least six more times. The victim reportedly pleaded for her life during the assault, which ultimately ceased before first responders arrived.

First responders found the 15-year-old suffering from at least 10 stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she remains under medical care.

Officers arrested Le at the scene. She reportedly declined to answer investigators’ questions during the initial investigation.

Officials have charged Le with one count of attempted murder. Lynn My Le is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond, pending further legal proceedings.

Her arraignment is set for November 17, at which time she will enter a plea. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released a possible motive for the attack.

Family members have not issued any public statements, and the condition of the teenage victim has not been updated since she was admitted to the hospital.
