Pontypridd, Wales — A pair of twin brothers has been sentenced for a brutal attack on their friend that left him severely injured and covered in blood. Keiron and Jordan Lewis, both 26, assaulted Curtis Williams at a home late on August 13, while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
The incident unfolded at the home of Williams’ former partner, where the trio had gathered. Witnesses described a rapid escalation of violence when the Lewis brothers began a physical confrontation with Williams after they followed the woman upstairs. Upon discovering them in a physical altercation, Williams attempted to intervene, prompting the brothers to redirect their aggression toward him.
During the attack, Williams sustained multiple injuries, including a broken nose and severe bruising. Prosecutors detailed how he tried to shield himself as the twins took turns relentlessly striking him. At one point, he collapsed into a bathroom, continuation of the assault seemingly unimpeded.
After the assault, the Lewis brothers reportedly taunted Williams with vicious remarks, stating, "This is what you f** get when you think you’re it." They left him in what was described as a pool of blood before telling Williams’ ex-partner that she could now be "alone with his dead body."
Emergency services were called to the scene, finding a gruesome aftermath in the bathroom. Police arrived to discover the Lewis brothers still present, their footwear stained with their friend’s blood. Williams was subsequently taken to the hospital for extensive treatment, which included repairs for various facial injuries.
In a court hearing, it was revealed that Keiron Lewis had a record of prior offenses, including battery, while Jordan Lewis had a separate conviction. Both admitted to charges of grievous bodily harm and criminal damage. The court was informed that intoxication played a significant role in their actions that night.
In mitigation, their defense team argued that the brothers had overreacted out of a misguided sense of loyalty, expressing remorse for their violent actions. Nonetheless, Recorder Mark Powell KC condemned the nature of the attack, describing it as a "very nasty, very unpleasant, and very prolonged assault."
Ultimately, Keiron Lewis was sentenced to 45 months in prison, while Jordan Lewis received a three-year sentence. The court’s decision reflects the seriousness of the offense and the devastating impact such violence can have on friendships and community dynamics.
