As the game deteriorated into chaos, players from C.H. Dewey, along with their head coach, physically confronted center referee Prince Dorbor. Despite intervention from local law enforcement and pleas to resume play, Dewey refused to re-enter the field, forcing officials to halt the match prematurely.
An investigation into the circumstances revealed a defensive mistake that allowed Free Pentecostal’s striker Emmanuel Abednego to score, countering Dewey’s claims of an unfair goal.
