Lompoc, California — A mother has been charged with first-degree murder in the tragic death of her 9-year-old daughter, Melodee Buzzard. Ashlee Buzzard, 40, from Vandenberg Village, is scheduled for an initial court appearance in Santa Maria on Friday, marking a significant moment in a case that has drawn considerable public attention.
