Community Unites in Grief: Mourners Gather to Honor ANC Matriarch Mamma Siena Nontlebo Pefile Following Attack

Galeshewe, South Africa — A large crowd gathered on Wednesday to honor Mamma Siena Nontlebo Pefile, the mother of ANC Regional Secretary Unodumiso Buda, during a heartfelt prayer service in Promise Land. Pefile, 67, was reportedly attacked in her home early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. Monday in Galeshewe, according to police reports. Ehlers urged anyone with information regarding the attack to come forward, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in solving violent crimes. During the memorial service, ANC deputy provincial secretary Maruping Lekwene and Frances Baard Regional Chairperson Wende Marekwa conveyed their profound condolences to the bereaved family.
