Comox Valley Police Nab Suspect in Shocking Assault on Elderly Man Near Lewis Park

Courtenay, British Columbia — A serious assault on an elderly man has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect, prompting concerns within the Comox Valley community. The incident occurred on August 10th around 11:35 a.m., when local police received alarming reports of a woman screaming for help as her husband was attacked near Lewis Park.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the elderly victim on the ground, suffering from severe facial injuries. He was bleeding significantly and in need of immediate medical attention.
