SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old San Antonio resident, Nathan Martinez, has been taken into custody by the police after being linked to multiple fatal shootings. Martinez was wanted for various warrants, including capital murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and murder, according to SAPD Sgt. Washington Moscoso.
Authorities were able to connect Martinez to several shootings that occurred within the past year. One of these incidents took place in the 2500 block of Patron Drive, where a family gathering was disrupted by a drive-by shooting in June 2022. Two men were killed, and five others were injured in this attack.
In a separate event in August of this year, a 17-year-old, Julian Junior Robledo, was shot and killed outside his home. Ballistic evidence collected at the scene led investigators to Martinez, who was later found to have incriminating social media posts and testimonies describing the use of a modified weapon.
In another shooting in August 2023, a victim at an apartment complex returned fire after being shot at. Ballistic evidence from this scene was matched to the previous shootings, leading to Martinez’s arrest without incident.
“We are very relieved to get this individual off the streets [and] without incident,” said Moscoso.
Martinez is currently in police custody, facing charges related to the fatal shootings he is alleged to be involved in.
