SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Ted Bundy, a notorious serial killer in US history, committed more than 30 murders between 1974 and 1978. He was first apprehended by police in August 1975 and charged with attempted criminal assault and aggravated kidnapping. Bundy was found guilty and sentenced to prison, but he later escaped. In 1978, he was captured again and sent back to jail to face charges for another murder he was accused of committing.
Despite his heinous crimes, reports have surfaced about Bundy having girlfriends and marrying a woman named Carol Ann Boone. In 1982, while he was incarcerated, Boone gave birth to Bundy’s daughter, Rose. Rose has remained out of the public eye and her current whereabouts are unknown.
Boone met Bundy while working at the Department of Emergency Services (DES) in Olympia, Washington. She reportedly helped Bundy escape from prison in 1977 and the two married during his trial in 1980. They took advantage of a Florida law that allowed any marriage conducted in front of a judge to be deemed legal. Despite conjugal visits being prohibited, Boone and Bundy were reportedly able to be physically intimate while she visited him in prison.
Boone eventually gave birth to their daughter Rose in 1982 and divorced Bundy in 1986 after he confessed to his crimes. Bundy was executed via electric chair in January 1989. His daughter Rose has kept a low profile, with her current whereabouts unknown.
Ted Bundy has been the subject of numerous documentaries and feature films, all available for streaming on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
