AVON, Ind. (AP) – A shooting investigation is underway in Avon, Indiana after two individuals were found dead Thursday evening. The Avon Police Department responded to a call at a residence on Glensford Drive, just off North Avon Avenue and Rockville Road around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 11. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
The two deceased individuals have been identified as 20-year-old Samual Oliver from Plainfield and 20-year-old Patrick Day from Avon. According to a social media post by the Avon Police Department, both individuals were involved in a drug-related robbery near a vehicle in the Park Place neighborhood. It has been confirmed by a department spokesperson that Oliver and Day were the only individuals involved in the incident.
