Florida parents tell their adult daughter to move out and she brutally stabs them both

OCALA, FL – A Florida woman has been sentenced to life in prison for killing her father and attempting to murder her mother after they reportedly asked her to leave their home. Christina Anne Adams, 33, received two consecutive life sentences for the crimes committed against her parents, Richard and Sally Langer, according to the court ruling.

During the sentencing, Fifth Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant State Attorney Walter Forgie emphasized the importance of justice and accountability. “Our focus remains on providing closure for the victims and their families,” Forgie remarked, considering the challenging nature of the case and the impact on all involved.

The incident occurred on September 16, 2022, when Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a distressing 911 call about a stabbing at a residence located in the 100 block of SE 70th Terrace. Upon entry, deputies found both Richard and Sally Langer suffering from multiple stab wounds.

In the moments following the attack, Richard Langer managed to identify his daughter as the attacker before succumbing to his injuries. A quick response from law enforcement led to a bulletin being issued, resulting in a traffic stop where Adams and her wife were apprehended.

Adams’ wife had reportedly been running errands and met Adams at a grocery store prior to their arrest. She told investigators that she observed nothing unusual in Adams’ behavior and was unaware of any conflict before the incident.

However, upon interrogation, Adams provided details that contradicted her wife’s account. Authorities reported that Adams admitted to becoming enraged after being asked to leave her parents’ home. She allegedly retrieved a large knife, attacking her parents with it, and subsequently attempted to hide any evidence before leaving the scene.

According to officials, after believing her parents were dead, Adams took measures to cover her tracks by changing clothes and going shopping. Despite her efforts to evade suspicion, her father’s dying words identified her as the perpetrator.

Adams’ conviction marks a somber chapter for the family and the community, and the judgment underscores the legal system’s commitment to holding individuals accountable for their violent actions.
