Jet Horne, 20, was convicted on charges that included attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and hijacking a motor vehicle, related to three separate incidents from late 2024 to mid-2025.
During a trial that captured the community’s attention, Horne was sentenced to 30 years, with 25 years to be served in prison. Prosecutors outlined a disturbing pattern of violence that began on December 18, 2024, when Horne ambushed Talal Anash, a former high-school basketball teammate, shooting him eight times as he returned home from work. Anash was left critically injured, requiring extensive medical rehabilitation.
Subsequent violent incidents followed. On March 22, 2025, while sitting in his car, Timair Walker became a target when Horne fired shots, shattering the vehicle’s rear window.
