Claudy Mendes, 28, has been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated child abuse, false imprisonment, and domestic battery by strangulation. The West Palm Beach Police Department reported that the incident occurred on May 1 and escalated rapidly from a verbal altercation.
According to police, the victim—whose identity has been concealed—reported that Mendes struck her repeatedly, choked her, and made threats on her life during the attack.
