Sibley County, Minn. — A significant search operation is underway after a car tied to a suspect in the shooting of two state lawmakers was discovered earlier today. Authorities, however, have yet to locate the alleged shooter, identified as Boelter.
Sheriff Patrick Nienaber reported that the vehicle was found in a heavily wooded area approximately 10 hours after it was linked to the case. While the discovery initially seemed promising, the absence of the suspect has left law enforcement with pressing concerns. “We will continue our efforts as long as we have reason to believe he may still be in this vicinity,” Nienaber stated during a press briefing.
