Norwalk, Connecticut – A Connecticut doctor was kidnapped from a New York City music venue that has been at the center of a troubling mystery involving the disappearances and deaths of two concertgoers. The doctor, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken on a spending spree in the Bronx by his abductor after being abducted from the Brooklyn Mirage. This unsettling incident comes on the heels of the national headlines surrounding the deaths of two men, Goldman Sachs analyst John Castic and psychologist Karl Clemente, both 27 years old.
Castic disappeared after attending a concert at the same venue in an industrial section of Brooklyn, while Clemente vanished on June 11 after being turned away at the door. Both men were later found dead in Newtown Creek, with the city’s medical examiner yet to provide an official cause of death for either of them.
According to the police report obtained by The Hour, the doctor’s frightening experience unfolded after attending a show at the Brooklyn Mirage with friends. He was allegedly forced to go on a spending spree with his captor, hitting various locations such as Foot Locker, a barber shop, and a strip club.
The doctor’s ordeal finally came to an end when a call from Norwalk Hospital paved the way for his escape. He managed to report the alleged kidnapping to security upon entering the hospital, leading to the arrest of the abductors in the parking garage on second-degree kidnapping with a firearm and other charges. Both suspects were subsequently released without bail, as court records show.
Following the deaths of Castic and Clemente, local residents and members of the live music scene have called for greater safety measures and crackdowns on illegal transportation services in the neighborhood.
