London Teenagers Arrested for Stabbing Death on New Year’s Eve

London, England – Two teenagers have been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing death of 16-year-old Harry Pitman during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The tragic incident occurred at Primrose Hill in Camden, London, where a large crowd had gathered to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display. According to police, Harry was involved in a spontaneous fight with another individual and sustained fatal stab wounds. The Metropolitan Police stated that there is no evidence to suggest that the altercation was gang-related or racially motivated.

Following a public appeal, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy turned themselves in at a west London police station and remain in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Grogan emphasized the urgency of the investigation and urged anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward.

In a heartfelt video, Harry’s older sister Tayla described her brother as a “good boy” with a “heart of gold,” refuting any insinuation that he was involved in violence. She expressed the family’s anguish and frustration with the misrepresentation of Harry, emphasizing that he would never harm anyone.

A vigil was held at Downhills Park in Haringey, north London, where around 100 individuals, including Harry’s family, gathered to pay their respects to the teenager. Furthermore, Tottenham Hotspur fans are planning to honor him at a game in the FA Cup. Harry’s tragic death adds to the alarming statistic of 21 teenagers killed in violent incidents in London last year, with 18 being victims of stabbing.

Authorities urge individuals with any information to contact the investigation team or the independent charity Crimestoppers to help bring justice to Harry Pitman and his family.
