Lynn Man Arrested After Shocking Halloween Violence at Local Convenience Store

LYNN, Mass. — A 22-year-old man has been arrested following a violent incident at a local convenience store that left a clerk seriously injured on Halloween night. Joshua Mora faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property under $1,200, and armed assault and battery with intent to intimidate.

The Lynn Police Department reported that the altercation took place at the Richdale Convenience store around 7:30 p.m. on October 31. Mora allegedly engaged in a physical confrontation with the store clerk, during which he not only assaulted the victim but also stole several items.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows the suspect leaping over the counter and assaulting the clerk with a series of punches, demonstrating the brutality of the encounter. The store owner shared that the clerk sustained significant injuries, including a broken leg, nose, and jaw.

Law enforcement officials identified Mora as a suspect soon after the attack. Following an investigation, he was located and arrested on Thursday with assistance from officers in the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.

Mora is scheduled to appear in Lynn District Court, where he will face the charges against him. The community remains shaken by the incident, emphasizing the need for safety and vigilance in local establishments.
