Millsboro, Delaware – A 55-year-old man suffered serious injuries in an explosion in the Gumboro area on Tuesday. Delaware State Police responded to an industrial accident at WWC III Trucking on Pear Tree Road in Millsboro around 3:50 p.m. The victim had already been taken to the hospital before their arrival.
According to the police, their investigation revealed that the man was using a torch to cut the top off a barrel that had previously contained a flammable liquid. The barrel ignited and exploded during the process.
