Ballyclare, Northern Ireland — A man is hospitalized following a frightening incident of aggravated burglary in the Thornhill Drive area. The assault occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to police, two masked intruders armed with baseball bats entered the victim’s home. During the incident, two individuals inside the residence managed to escape, but one was pursued and attacked by a group of up to six masked assailants. The victim sustained injuries to his arms and legs before receiving medical assistance at the scene and subsequently being transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Detective Sergeant Ash reported that investigations into the violent encounter are ongoing, with no arrests made so far. “This attack demonstrates a complete disregard for human dignity and the rule of law,” he remarked. “It has left the victim with not only physical injuries but also lasting psychological trauma.”
