Murder-Suicide: Texas Mother Makes Son Say ‘Goodbye to Daddy’ Before Deadly Act

San Antonio, Texas – A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in a park in Texas, where Savannah Kriger made her three-year-old son, Kaiden, say ‘goodbye to Daddy’ before ending both of their lives in a murder-suicide. The devastating events transpired just before Kriger was scheduled to appear in court for a custody hearing over Kaiden.

Authorities shared that the disturbing sequence of events began when Kriger, 32, veered off her route to work and vandalized her ex-husband’s home while he was absent. Upon returning home, she proceeded to damage sentimental possessions, including old wedding photos and her wedding dress. Following this, she retrieved Kaiden from daycare and sent disturbing messages to his father.

In a FaceTime call, Kriger menacingly stated, “You don’t have anything to go home to now. You really don’t.” Subsequently, she sent a final chilling text to Kaiden’s father, instructing him to bid farewell to their son.

Tragically, a 21-second video captured Kriger and Kaiden in the park, positioned where their lifeless bodies were later discovered. The clip captured Kriger prompting Kaiden to say goodbye to his father, expressing regret that he wasn’t present to witness the farewell.

Following an amber alert, their bodies were found approximately 19 hours later at the park. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has classified the deaths as a murder-suicide. Notably, Kriger had recently filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex, with a court hearing scheduled for the day their bodies were found. The community is left reeling from this heartbreaking tragedy, shedding light on the importance of mental health awareness and support for those in distress.
