SAN ANTONIO – A weekend shooting on the West Side claimed the life of 23-year-old Zachary James Owens, who succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, confirmed the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials have classified the incident as a homicide.
The San Antonio Police Department responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 4:30 a.m. on November 8, in the 5600 block of Culebra Road. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Owens lying on the ground, suffering from a critical injury. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
