Playground beating captured on camera as large adult woman sits on 11-year-old girl as she beats her

CANTON, OH – A 20-year-old woman from Ohio is facing legal action after being accused of assaulting an 11-year-old girl on a playground. The girl’s parents released a cellphone video that reportedly captures the incident, in which the woman is seen attacking the child.

The altercation, which took place Friday on Clark Avenue, has left the community shocked. Police documents suggest that Destany Scott viciously targeted the young girl, repeatedly striking her head against the metal surface of a slide.

These events, according to Canton Police Department records, were accompanied by disturbing remarks made by Scott to the victim’s mother, expressing a wish for the child’s fatal harm.

Paige Dishong, the mother of the victim, expressed her outrage over the incident, emphasizing the significant difference in size between her daughter and Scott. “It’s beyond comprehension,” Dishong remarked, pointing out the danger posed by the physical disparity between the two. Her daughter weighs considerably less than Scott, who is significantly larger.

Emergency services in Canton were alerted to the incident shortly after it unfolded at the local park, where a dispute erupted between Scott and the young girl, though the cause of the conflict remains unclear. When authorities arrived, Scott was reportedly found in a verbal altercation with Dishong, continuing to argue about the situation.

For her actions, Scott has been charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. At her initial court appearance, she entered a plea of not guilty. Pretrial proceedings are set to continue next week as the legal process unfolds.

This case has prompted calls from the community for more severe consequences than the current charges suggest. Dishong has voiced her frustration, arguing that the misdemeanor charges do not reflect the severity of the attack.

The incident underscores the ongoing conversation about safety in community spaces and the responsibilities of all parties in protecting children. As the legal proceedings advance, the community remains attentive to the outcome and its implications for local safety standards.
