REEDLEY, Calif. — The tragic murder of four family members in Reedley has shocked the local community, leaving authorities searching for answers. The victims have been identified as 43-year-old Matthew Bonds, his father 61-year-old Darrell Bonds, Matthew’s wife 44-year-old Guadalupe Bonds, and his grandfather, 81-year-old Billy Bonds.
Authorities discovered Matthew’s body in a detached garage at his neighbor’s house, while Darrell was found buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of the home he shared with Matthew and the other victims. All four family members died from substantial violent injuries, and autopsies are being conducted to confirm their causes of death.
A 17-year-old boy who lived at the home where Matthew was found dead has been arrested on four counts of homicide.
