PERRY, Iowa – The tragic mass shooting at Perry High School in Iowa left an 11-year-old sixth grade student, Ahmir Jolliff, among the casualties. The Iowa Department of Public Safety revealed that a total of eight victims were involved in the “horrific” incident, increasing the initial count by two.
Principal Dan Marburger, critically injured in the shooting, was hailed as a hero for his brave actions during the attack. The school district remains closed as investigations continue, with the goal being to reopen the elementary and middle schools by January 12, and the high school at a later date.
