MILWAUKEE — A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed, and a 16-year-old was critically injured in a tragic incident on the city’s far northwest side. The double shooting took place Friday afternoon at approximately 75th Street and Northridge Lakes Boulevard.
Authorities confirmed the younger victim, identified as Maurice Whiters, succumbed to his injuries shortly after being taken to a local hospital. The 16-year-old remains hospitalized and is reported to be in critical condition.
Whiters, a freshman at Bay View High School, was known for his participation in both basketball and football.
