KILLEEN, Texas — A tragic incident early Sunday morning has left two individuals dead in what authorities believe may be a murder-suicide. The Killeen Police Department responded to reports of a man seriously injured on July Drive shortly after midnight.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the body of a 26-year-old woman outside a residence, having succumbed to a gunshot wound. Inside the home, they found a 23-year-old man also dead from a gunshot wound. Both individuals have not yet been publicly identified.
Justice of the Peace Nichola James confirmed the deaths, pronouncing the woman dead at 12:27 a.m. and the man shortly thereafter at 12:31 a.m. The bodies have been sent to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science for autopsy procedures to determine the official cause of death and any further details regarding the incident.
