OXFORD, England – Superintendent Andy Howard expressed frustration that the case of Harun Jama’s murder remains unsolved, urging potential witnesses to come forward with additional information. The 16-year-old was fatally stabbed during an attack near the black and white bridge adjacent to Dale Close on January 3, 2018. Despite numerous arrests, no one has been prosecuted for the murder.
Howard stated that although many people have been interviewed by the police, he is confident that there are individuals withholding vital information about the incident. He emphasized that it is unacceptable for the case to remain unresolved, particularly given the young age of the victim.
The investigating officer appealed to those who may have witnessed the attack to reconsider speaking out, stressing the importance of bringing closure to the victim’s family. With no CCTV footage available from the time of the incident, the case heavily relies on eyewitness accounts.
The superintendent urged anyone with information to contact the police and provide the reference number 43180002807. He remains hopeful that with the passage of time, witnesses may be more willing to come forward and help solve the case.
