HARRISBURG, Pa. – Adrian Norris is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting and killing 22-year-old Marshall Vujasinovich at a vigil in October. Video recordings show Norris driving around the city in his girlfriend’s car minutes before the fatal shooting at 19th and Holly streets, according to police.
Norris is accused of showing up to a vigil service for a victim of a fatal car crash and firing 11 bullets, two of which hit Vujasinovich. Police believe Norris drove his girlfriend’s car to and from the scene, which she had been borrowing from a cousin throughout October.
During a preliminary hearing, District Judge Hanif Johnson approved sending Norris’ case to Dauphin County Court, after which Corporal Anthony Cummings delivered testimony walking District Judge Johnson through the events of Oct. 5.
Norris called off from work the day of the shooting and told his boss he was going to work on his car that day. Video recordings from the Maclay Street AutoZone showed Norris entering and leaving the store almost three hours before the shooting.
City detectives began investigating Norris as the primary suspect after an informant pointed a finger in his direction, according to Cummings. Police executed a search warrant on a Cumberland Street address where Norris was thought to be living and found evidence of Norris living there, but did not find the clothes and accessories the shooter was wearing.
In addition, police initially tried to connect a pair of purple and yellow shoes found at the address to the shooter, but eventually ruled out the possibility that the two pairs were the same. Adrian Norris’ trial is set to continue in Dauphin County Court.
