HOUSTON, Texas – A night of violence in Houston has left three people dead and seven others injured in a series of unrelated shootings, according to the Houston Police Department.
The first shooting occurred at a popular food truck located on Chimney Rock and Westheimer, where four people were shot. Two victims are in critical condition, while the other two were hospitalized with injuries. Assistant Chief K. Deese stated that the shooting took place at the Galleria Food Truck Park at around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
About an hour later, a second shooting was reported in southwest Houston on Kings Gate Circle near Fondren, where two men were found dead with gunshot wounds. Police found multiple firearms at the scene, and they are investigating whether the two deceased victims shot each other or if there was another shooter. Authorities are also looking into a pick-up truck that was seen in the area around the time of the shooting.
The night of violence concluded with another shooting at the Royal Palms apartment complex, where police found a man with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. They are currently searching for a woman who was the subject of a welfare check call.
The Houston Police Department is actively investigating these incidents, but so far, no arrests have been made. The violence left the city rattled, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
