In a separate case, a grim plot unfolded in Maryland where two women were apprehended for an alleged murder-for-hire scheme aimed at one of their ex-boyfriends. Adelaida Consuelo Zacarias Chacon and Reyna Gomez Lopez, the accused, allegedly communicated about the plan since June, with monetary exchanges reported to secure a hitman for the act. Both women face charges of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder.
