Wife, In-laws Missing; Tarzana Man Arrested with Found Body Parts in Dumpster

LOS ANGELES, California – In a shocking and gruesome turn of events, Los Angeles police are unraveling the mystery surrounding a Tarzana man, three missing family members, and the discovery of body parts in a dumpster. Samuel Bond Haskell IV, the son of a prominent Hollywood executive, was arrested in connection with the finding of a woman’s torso, believed to be his wife’s. However, his wife and her parents have not been located.

Haskell, his wife, Mei Haskell, and her parents, Yanxiang Wang and Gaoshen Li, resided in a single-story home in Tarzana. Although their three children were found safe, police were drawn into the case on November 7 when Haskell attempted to have day laborers remove bags from his home that were suspected to contain body parts. When this failed, he was caught on video discarding the bags from his car in Encino. The next day, a dismembered human torso was discovered in an Encino dumpster, and Haskell was arrested.

Additionally, Haskell tried to pay day laborers to take away bags he claimed to be rocks or Halloween decorations, with the workers later discovering the bags actually contained human remains. Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has filed three special circumstance murder counts against Haskell in the killings of his wife and her parents. Despite this, Mei Haskell and her parents have not been found, and the investigation is ongoing.

The shocking and disturbing nature of this case has raised alarm within the community. As the investigation continues, authorities are tasked with unraveling the truth behind this devastating crime and ensuring justice is served. The Californian community stands with the victims’ loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.

Furthermore, Haskell briefly appeared in a courtroom as a judge ordered that he be held without bail pending a December 8 hearing. He has not yet entered a plea, and his attorney could not be reached for comment. The search for Mei Haskell and her parents continues, with the hope of finding answers in this tragic and perplexing case.
