On Friday evening, June 6, local police responded to a crash involving a Ford F-150 pickup and a Honda Pilot SUV at the intersection of 8th Concession and 15th Sideroad in King. The incident, which occurred around 7:50 p.m., resulted in significant injuries for two occupants of the Ford, who were subsequently transported to a trauma center. The driver of the Honda remains in critical condition at a local hospital, according to police reports.
In a separate event on Saturday, June 7, a motorcyclist lost his life following a collision with a transit bus at Jane Street and Ahmadiyya Avenue in Vaughan. The accident, which took place shortly before 1 p.m., prompted immediate action from an off-duty nurse who attempted to render aid to the motorcyclist. However, he succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital, police said.
The very next day, on Sunday, June 8, another serious incident occurred in King at approximately 2:16 p.m. A collision between a Volkswagen SUV and a BMW SUV resulted in the death of a 93-year-old passenger in the Volkswagen, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The 95-year-old driver suffered grave injuries and was rushed to a trauma facility. The five occupants of the BMW also sustained various injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
