Alabama Boy, 5, Killed in Barber Shop Shooting: Arrests Made

Bessemer, Alabama – A 5-year-old boy, Brandon Jamal Nation III, was tragically killed during a haircut in Bessemer, Alabama, this past week. According to reports, the young boy was getting his hair cut at a home in Bessemer when multiple shots were fired towards the house, resulting in his death.

Brandon’s grandmother had taken him to a home on Seventh Avenue North for a haircut on Sunday morning, where the fatal shooting took place. The shooter fired multiple shots at the house, resulting in the tragic death of the 5-year-old and severe injuries to the barber, an adult male.

In the aftermath, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, and a third is wanted for their alleged involvement in the incident, according to local police. Kendrick O’Neal, 26, and Tatyonna Estacia Smith, 24, were both charged with capital murder and attempted murder.

Meanwhile, Kedarrius Odell Mack, 25, is wanted on the same charges, and authorities sought to locate him. However, he later turned himself in on Friday. Brandon’s death has been identified as Bessemer’s first homicide of the year.
