President Biden said Thursday that he would pardon all past criminal convictions of simple marijuana possession and ask federal officials to reconsider how the substance is categorized.

On Wednesday, a discussion between a federal judge and a lawyer for one of the Oath Keepers devolved into a screaming match. The Oath Keeper, Kelly Meggs, is charged with seditious conspiracy as well as other charges. His lawyer suggested that she may argue at trial that her client deleted evidence after the riot on the instruction of another lawyer.
Attorneys for Donald Trump and the Justice Department have agreed on a possible candidate to be the special master. The special masters will look over the documents taken from Mar-a-Lago. The Justice Department said in a court filing Monday evening that Judge Raymond Dearie, suggested by Trump’s legal team, is a good choice for the third-party attorney who will review the seized materials independently.
This year, on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., ripped into President Biden’s foreign policy. McCarthy told Fox News that the president’s actions at home and abroad had made the country less safe. Under the Biden administration our country is headed in the wrong direction. The leader of the U.S. should be uniting our nation, but instead, he has caused our country to be more divided.
