Alexei Navalny widow vows to continue his fight against Russian President Putin

MOSCOW, Russia – Yulia Navalnaya accused the Kremlin of hiding her late husband Alexei Navalny’s body to conceal evidence of foul play in his death at an Arctic penal colony. In a plea to continue his fight against President Vladimir Putin, Navalnaya urged Russians to stand with her in a video address. Navalny’s team reported that his mother and lawyers were denied access to his body, with the investigation into his cause of death being extended.

Navalnaya asserted in a YouTube video that Putin was responsible for her husband’s death, claiming that authorities were waiting for traces of a nerve agent to leave his body. The Kremlin denied any involvement in the poisoning and dismissed accusations of Putin’s involvement in Navalny’s death.

Despite the official version of events, Navalnaya pledged to carry on her husband’s work in advocating for a free Russia. She vowed to uncover the truth behind his death and urged others to continue the fight in his honor.

Following Navalny’s death, international leaders pointed fingers at Putin, while the Russian opposition mourned the loss of one of its strongest voices. Despite the official investigation, Navalny’s supporters rejected the explanation and criticized the handling of the probe.

The Kremlin spokesperson stated that the investigation into Navalny’s death was ongoing, and no conclusions had been reached yet. Navalny, 47, was serving a jail sentence and had recently been transferred to a harsh prison above the Arctic circle. Video footage showed him appearing in good health before his sudden death, prompting skepticism about the official account of his passing.

As people across Russia paid tribute to Navalny, authorities reportedly detained individuals at memorials, sparking further tension between the government and dissenting voices. The Kremlin intensified its crackdown on dissent, leading to the detention of hundreds of people attempting to honor Navalny.

The circumstances surrounding Navalny’s death continue to raise questions, with Putin yet to comment on the matter. Despite the Kremlin’s efforts to control the narrative, Navalny’s supporters remain determined to seek justice and hold those responsible accountable.
