American Dad and Daughters Killed in Caribbean Plane Crash, Authorities Say

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – A tragic plane crash on Thursday claimed the lives of an American man and his two daughters, along with the pilot, local police confirmed. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from the J.F. Mitchell Airport on the Caribbean island of Bequia.

The single-engine aircraft was en route to St. Lucia when it encountered difficulties and crashed into the waters off Bequia. According to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, 51-year-old U.S. citizen Christian Klepser and his two daughters, 10-year-old Madita and 12-year-old Annik Klepser, were among the passengers on board. The pilot, identified as Robert Sachs, also lost his life in the crash.

Immediately after the crash, fishermen, divers, and the country’s Coast Guard responded, recovering the bodies of all four victims. The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force stated that autopsies will determine the cause of death for each victim, while an investigation into the incident’s cause is ongoing.
