Argument Escalates: Murder-Suicide in Hayward Leaves Two Dead

Hayward, California – Hayward police are currently investigating a tragic incident that took place on Thursday, resulting in the death of an 86-year-old woman due to a traffic collision.

On a separate note, a man and a woman lost their lives on Saturday evening in Hayward due to gunshot wounds, with authorities labeling the incident a murder-suicide. The tragic event occurred on April 20 in the 3000 block of West Winton Avenue in Hayward after police responded to a report of two deceased individuals inside a vehicle.

The 31-year-old woman, believed to be the victim of homicide, was discovered in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Law enforcement officials suspect that the 36-year-old man, who was also found deceased in the car, shot the woman before taking his own life.

As of now, the identities of both individuals have not been publicly disclosed, pending notification of their families. An eyewitness reported hearing the two individuals arguing before the shots were fired. This marks the third homicide in Hayward for the year 2024.
