Arrest Made at Heathrow Airport in Connection to Fatal East London Collision

London, England – A murder suspect was apprehended at Heathrow Airport following a fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian in east London, according to police reports.

Authorities responded to the incident on Barking Road in Newham after receiving a call at 5.11am on Sunday. Upon arrival, police found a 35-year-old man injured from the collision near the junction with Arragon Road. Despite efforts by emergency services, the man succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Subsequently, a 33-year-old man was taken into custody at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of murder around 3.30pm on Sunday. Additionally, a 30-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both individuals are currently in police custody for further investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the inquiry, expressed condolences to the victim’s family during this challenging period. Yorke appealed to witnesses of the incident, particularly those who were attending an event in Barking Road, to provide any pertinent information to aid in the investigation.

Forensic collision investigators have been diligently examining the scene, and while authorities believe there is no immediate danger to the public, police presence will remain in the area to offer reassurance in the days ahead.
