Arrest Made in Tuscaloosa Capital Murder Case After Woman Fatally Shot

Tuscaloosa, Alabama – A 25-year-old man has been arrested and will face charges of capital murder following the fatal shooting of a woman in Tuscaloosa. The incident occurred early Thursday morning under the Interstate 359 overpass bridge on 15th Street, where police officers responded to a reported traffic crash around 3 a.m.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation, with authorities spending the day gathering physical evidence, securing video surveillance footage, and interviewing witnesses. Through their efforts, they identified the suspect as 25-year-old Ladarious Jaquan Bullock, who was apprehended outside of Tuscaloosa County on Thursday. Court records indicate Bullock is a resident of Boligee, Alabama, in neighboring Greene County.

Police have obtained warrants to charge Bullock with capital murder in connection with the woman’s death. The victim’s identity has not been released by authorities at this time. This homicide marks the 10th investigated in Tuscaloosa County so far this year.
