Arrested: Teen Suspected of Homicide in Deadly Attack on Family in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. – A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody on suspicion of homicide after a “violent incident” that left his parents dead and his sister injured in Fresno County, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The teen, responsible for the deaths of his 37-year-old parents, Se Vang and Lue Yang, has also been accused of injuring his 11-year-old sister. The 7-year-old sibling was unharmed. The boy had initially reported a break-in and attack on his family, prompting a police response to the home on Wednesday evening.

Upon further investigation, detectives found the 14-year-old’s story to be inconsistent and later determined that he was responsible for attacking his family members with multiple weapons. The motive behind the tragedy remains unknown, and authorities continue to search for the weapons used in the attacks.

The Sheriff’s Office is seeking any additional information about the incident and has urged anyone with details to contact Detective Aurelio Flores at (559) 600-8208.

As the investigation continues, the tragic nature of the situation has left two children without parents, and authorities are working to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
