Arrests Made in Brutal San Antonio Murder Case: Father and Son Charged in Deaths of Pregnant Teen and Boyfriend

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The San Antonio Police Department has reported that a father and son have been arrested in connection to the deaths of 18-year-old Savanah Soto and her 22-year-old boyfriend, Matthew Guerra. The couple was found dead in a car last month in the 5900 block of Danny Kaye on the northwest side of the city.

Christopher Preciado, 19, has been charged with capital murder while his father, 53-year-old Ramon Preciado, faces charges of abuse of a corpse in the case. The police revealed that a critical piece of evidence was collected from a cellphone found at the crime scene and led them to identify the suspects.

Further investigation led the police to a surveillance video that captured the suspect vehicle, ultimately leading to the arrest of the father and son. It was also revealed that the deaths were connected to a botched drug deal and occurred on December 21, 2023, before midnight.

Authorities have stated that Christopher Preciado is the sole alleged killer in the case, with his father assisting in the disposal of the bodies. The police also confirmed that there is no connection between where the bodies were found and where the victims were killed, as the bodies were dumped in the parking lot after they were killed at a different location.

As the investigation continues, the San Antonio Police Department will be working with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office to determine any further charges, especially considering that Soto was pregnant at the time of her death. It was also disclosed that Christopher Preciado has no prior criminal history, while his father does have some criminal record.

This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
