Assault: Surveillance Cameras Capture Shocking Violence in West Hollywood

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials are seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect involved in an assault captured on surveillance cameras in West Hollywood. The incident took place in the early morning hours of February 15th, in the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. The attack involved a Block-By-Block Security Ambassador being assaulted with a deadly weapon, as reported in an LASD bulletin.

Video footage shows a confrontation between the security ambassador and two individuals, one of whom was walking a dog. The situation escalated, leading to a physical altercation between the victim and the suspects. The violent encounter spilled onto Santa Monica Boulevard, with passing vehicles witnessing the altercation.

During the altercation, the security ambassador was beaten with a flashlight and pepper-sprayed by the suspects. One of the attackers was apprehended by deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. However, the second suspect remains unidentified and is currently at large.

Authorities are describing the at-large suspect as an adult male, between 30-40 years old, standing around 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing approximately 190 pounds.
