The incident unfolded last week when Warren Crayton, 37, was arrested by Duluth police for randomly assaulting two individuals in the same area before fleeing a shopping center.
Duluth authorities reported that the first victim, Alfonso Peralta, was targeted while working at a car wash near the Shell gas station. Surveillance footage captured the unidentified assailant, clad in a blue shirt, repeatedly kicking Peralta before making a hasty escape. As a result of the violent assault, Peralta suffered a broken back and stab wounds, requiring extensive medical treatment.
In response to the horrific attack, Peralta’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with medical expenses and living costs. According to the description on the fundraising page, Peralta was also stabbed during the incident. The family recounted how Peralta sought refuge inside the gas station as the suspect approached a group at the car wash, only to be ruthlessly assaulted in a way that left him severely injured and unable to walk.

In addition to Peralta’s ordeal, another victim – a 16-year-old – reported being assaulted shortly before the gas station attack. The teenager recalled being punched by a stranger outside a Kroger store, leaving him bloodied and shocked.
