Bengaluru AI CEO Arrested for Murder of 4-Year-Old Son in North Goa Hotel

GOA, India: The CEO of a Bengaluru-based AI start-up was arrested by the Karnataka Police after committing a horrific crime in Goa. Suchana Seth, 39, was apprehended while attempting to flee from Chitradurga. She had murdered her four-year-old son and tried to escape with the body in a bag.

Seth had checked into a hotel in North Goa’s Sinquerim with her son on January 6. The crime was discovered by a hotel staffer cleaning the room after Seth’s departure, who noticed blood stains on the sheets. This prompted the hotel management to inform the police.

Investigations revealed that Seth used a sharp weapon to kill her son before attempting to leave. CCTV footage confirmed she checked out of the hotel alone. Initially, Seth fabricated a story claiming she left her son with a relative in South Goa, but investigations proved otherwise. The police managed to intercept her in Chitradurga while she was en route to Bengaluru in a taxi.

The Goa police collaborated with the Karnataka Police to detain Seth and retrieve the body of her son from the bag she carried. Ms Seth’s husband, Venkat Raman, an AI developer, also joined the authorities in Chitradurga following the incident.

Further questioning is underway to establish the motive behind the heinous crime. Suchana Seth, a prominent figure in AI ethics, was associated with Mindful AI Lab and held an impressive background in data science and machine learning.

The motive behind this shocking crime has yet to be established, as the police continue their investigation into the tragic incident.

This is a developing story, and further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
