Bouncers Heard Yelling ‘This Is For Pauly!’ During Brutal Assault at Comedy Store Involving Comedian Pauly Shore

Los Angeles, California – Comedian and actor Pauly Shore is facing a lawsuit over an incident that took place at his venue, the famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. A legal action was brought against Shore by Eliot Preschutti, who alleges that he was violently attacked by multiple bouncers at the comedy club on December 15, 2023. The lawsuit claims that the bouncers were heard yelling, “This is for Pauly!” during the brutal assault.

Preschutti, who has worked in the comedy and entertainment industry since 1995, had a dispute at the club over an unpaid bar tab that led to the violent confrontation. This incident is not the first time Shore has been involved in legal trouble due to actions taken by employees at The Comedy Store.

In a separate lawsuit filed in January, Shore and The Comedy Store were accused of bouncers assaulting patrons, Sean Kehoe and his daughter, Kirra Lyn Potts. The legal documents allege that Shore was aware of a plan to assault Kehoe and allegedly encouraged the attack.

The Shore family has a long history in the entertainment and comedy world, with The Comedy Store being co-founded by Sammy Shore, Pauly’s father, and Mitzi Shore, Pauly’s mother, taking ownership after their divorce. Mitzi passed away in 2018, and now the club is owned by Pauly Shore. The incident with Preschutti involved him forgetting to close his tab before leaving the club, leading to an altercation with bouncers.

The brutal assault on Preschutti by the bouncers at The Comedy Store was captured on video and distributed online. The lawsuit filed by Preschutti seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the cost of the suit. The legal battle sheds light on the challenges faced by comedy club owners in maintaining safety and security for their patrons, especially in situations involving disputes or altercations.
