Bribes, Lies, and COVID-19: How the CIA Tried to Muzzle Truth-Seeking Analysts!

In a shocking revelation, a seasoned CIA officer has courageously stepped forward, alleging that the CIA tried to silence six of its analysts with financial incentives. Why? Because these analysts dared to conclude that the COVID-19 virus likely originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. This isn’t just a betrayal of the American people’s trust; it’s a slap in the face to everyone suffering due to this pandemic.

This explosive information came to light through letters from the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Addressed to CIA Director William J. Burns and former CIA Chief Operating Officer Andrew Makridis, these letters detail the testimony of this brave CIA officer. He alleged that the CIA, in a desperate bid to discredit the lab leak theory, offered a “significant monetary incentive” to its officers.

Six of the seven CIA analysts, all part of the Covid Discovery Team, believed there was enough intelligence and scientific evidence to make a low-confidence assessment that COVID-19 had its roots in a Wuhan laboratory. These weren’t just any officers; they were multi-disciplinary experts with significant scientific backgrounds. Yet, in its infinite wisdom, the CIA allegedly tried to bribe them into changing their conclusions favoring a natural origin theory.

The only member of the team who believed in the zoonotic origin was also the most senior. Coincidence? Or was there a financially motivated change of heart that led to a public declaration of uncertainty?

It’s worth noting that the CIA and other intelligence agencies still maintain that they cannot pinpoint the exact origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. This stance is perplexing, primarily when other government agencies, including the FBI and the U.S. Department of Energy, have acknowledged the possibility of the virus originating from the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, in 2022, found that intelligence agencies, including the CIA, had downplayed the possibility of the virus being connected to China’s bioweapons program. This was based partly on input from external experts. In collaboration with corporate media and Big Tech, these agencies quickly censored any suggestions in 2020 that the virus might have leaked from a Chinese lab specializing in gain-of-function coronavirus research.

To add insult to injury, documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request later linked U.S. taxpayer dollars to the research conducted by the Wuhan lab staff. These were the same individuals among the first to fall ill at the pandemic’s onset.

The committee chairpersons have requested that the CIA provide all documents, communication, and financial transaction information related to the agency’s virus origins investigation team by September 26. They’ve also requested the CIA’s contacts with other government agencies.

The Republican chairs, in their pursuit of truth, have also sought a voluntary transcribed interview with Makridis to understand his role in forming the Covid discovery team and the failure to ascertain the virus’s origins.

It’s high time for accountability. The American people deserve to know the truth, and any attempt by the CIA or any other agency to suppress it is unethical and unpatriotic. We will not stand for deceit, especially when it concerns a matter of global significance. The truth will be out, and those responsible will be held accountable.
