Bus Crash Kills One and Injures Dozens on Maryland Highway: Investigation Ongoing

A tragic incident took place on a Maryland highway as a bus carrying dozens of passengers crashed, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The Maryland State Police Aviation Command responded to the scene to assist the victims of the motor vehicle crash in Allegany County.

The accident occurred at 6 a.m. on Sunday when a bus with 24 individuals on board lost control while traveling northbound on I-95 in Harford County. The bus ultimately collided with a guardrail, leading to devastating consequences for those on board.

Unfortunately, one person was pronounced dead at the crash site, while several others sustained injuries and had to be transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for medical attention. Reports indicated that a total of 23 individuals were hurt in the tragic incident.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the bus crash. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is actively leading the ongoing inquiry to determine the cause of the accident. At this point, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash.

Following the incident, all northbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 77 were temporarily closed for investigation purposes. Commuters were advised to seek alternate routes while authorities worked at the scene. However, the lanes have since been reopened to traffic, as confirmed in a social media post by the Maryland State Police.
