CEO of AI Startup Arrested on Suspicion of Killing 4-Year-Old Son in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, India – The CEO of an artificial intelligence startup was arrested in Karnataka, India, on suspicion of killing her 4-year-old son. Suchana Seth, the CEO of The Mindful AI Lab, was taken into police custody as she returned from a trip to the neighboring coastal state of Goa.

The motive for the alleged murder remains unknown, but police revealed that Seth mentioned having a strained relationship with her husband, from whom she is separated. Nidhin Valsan, Superintendent of Police in Goa state, mentioned that Seth spoke about being unhappy due to a court order related to her divorce proceedings, although the validity of the court order has yet to be verified.

Seth had reportedly checked into a serviced apartment in Goa with her son, but checked out alone two days later. Hotel staff later found blood stains in her apartment and notified the police. Upon further investigation, the boy’s body was discovered in a suitcase brought by the taxi driver at the nearest police station.

The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but it is suspected that the child may have been smothered to death. Seth has been remanded into custody for six days pending further investigation. Her LinkedIn profile describes her as an AI ethics expert and data scientist with over 12 years of experience in mentoring data science teams.

The Goa police have filed a murder case against Seth, while further details and evidence are being examined. The tragic incident has left many questioning the circumstances and looking for answers to the heartbreaking loss of a young life.
