Chicago Woman Accused of Killing and Dismembering Landlord as Jury Deliberates

Chicago, Illinois – A woman who stands accused of killing and dismembering her landlord is currently awaiting the jury’s decision in a high-profile trial.

Sandra Kolalou, 36, faces charges of first-degree murder and concealing a homicidal death in connection with the death of Frances Walker in October 2022.

Prosecutors claim that Kolalou committed the murder following an eviction notice served by Walker. Furthermore, Kolalou is suspected of dismembering Walker’s body, with body parts found in a freezer at the residence, including her head, arms, and legs.

The prosecution also alleges that Kolalou used the victim’s credit cards after her death, leaving a trail of incriminating evidence.

Throughout the trial, DNA evidence has played a significant role in the case, with the prosecution linking Kolalou to the murder through DNA samples. However, the defense contends that other tenants may have planted evidence in Kolalou’s room.

Witnesses reported hearing arguments between Kolalou and Walker on the day of the incident, followed by disturbing noises and mysterious text messages coming from Walker’s phone. Concerned tenants eventually alerted the authorities, leading to a gruesome discovery at the residence in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood.

Despite the efforts to dispose of evidence by Kolalou, the police uncovered a trail of bloody rags and ultimately found Walker’s head and severed limbs in a freezer. However, the victim’s torso remains missing as the investigation unfolds.

Family and friends mourn the loss of Walker, remembering her as a cherished member of her community with a passion for music and a generous spirit.

As the jury deliberates on Kolalou’s fate, the trial serves as a harrowing reminder of the dangers lurking within seemingly ordinary settings, shedding light on the tragic aftermath of a dispute turned deadly.
